Eligibility Criteria:-

Age Limit:

The Candidates Born Between 1st January 2005 and 2nd July 2008 (Both Days inclusive) are Eligible to Appear in the Recruitment Rally.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have Passed Matriculation 10th Any Recognized Board.

Music Ability: Candidates must have Proficiency in Music with accuracy in tempo pitch and singing one complete song. They Shoud be able to Perform one preparatory tune and any of the notations i.e. Candidates must be able to tune individual instruments (in case of instruments require tuning) and Match unknown notes on vocal or instruments.

Instruments on Which Proficiency is Required

Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in playing at least one instrument from List A or List B.

List A – Wind and Brass Instruments

Concert Flute / Piccolo
Oboe
Clarinet in Eb / Bb
Saxophone in Eb / Bb
French Horn in F / Bb
Trumpet in Eb / C / Bb
Trombone in Bb / G
Baritone
Euphonium
Bass / Tuba in Eb / Bb

List B – String, Percussion & Other Instruments

1. Keyboard / Organ / Piano

2. Guitar (Acoustic / Lead / Bass)

3. Violin, Viola, String Bass

4. Percussion / Drums (Acoustic / Electronic)

5. All Indian Classical Instruments

Musical Experience Certification Requirements

Candidates must Fulfill one of the following criteria:

Possess Grade 5 or higher certification in any listed instrument from a recognized music institute such as:

Trinity College London (TCL)
Royal Schools of Music (RSM)
KM Music Conservatory
Bangalore School of Music
True School of Music (TSM)
Global Music Institute (GMI)
Berklee College of Music, etc.

Hold a Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hindustani or Carnatic Classical Music from any recognized university.

Have a certificate of participation or award from music events.

Application Fee:

General Candidates: Rs. 100/- Rupees + GST

OBC Candidates: 100/- Rupees + GST

EWS Candidates: Rs. 100/- Rupees + GST

ST Candidates: Rs. 100/- Rupees + GST

SC Candidates: Rs. 100/- Rupees + GST

Payment Mode: Candidates can pay their examination fees through an online payment gateway. Candidates should have any one of the following options to make the online payment – Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

Selection Process Air Force Agniveer Musician 01/2026

1. Verification of Eligibility

Before the Proficiency Test, candidates must present the following original documents for verification at the examination venue:

#10th Class Pass Certificate and Marksheet

#Relevant certificates (if applicable):

NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate
Certificate for Children of Serving Air Force Personnel (COAFP)
Discharge Book / Service Book / Service Particular Certificate / Casualty Service Certificate / Discharge Certificate (for ex-servicemen from Army/Navy/Govt. organizations)

#Consent Form

#Recent Passport-size Colour Photographs

#Musical Experience Certificate (as per Para 5 (c) of the notification)

Note: This is a preliminary verification. A more detailed document verification will be conducted for candidates who qualify the Written Test.

Disqualification:
Candidates who do not meet the required educational qualifications or provide invalid documents will be disqualified:

During the initial certificate verification before the Proficiency Test
Or during the detailed verification after the Written Test
Or at any stage, if found ineligible

2. Proficiency Test in Musical Instruments

Candidates will undergo a Proficiency Test, either individually or in a group, to assess their skill in playing musical instruments.

3. English Written Test

Only those who qualify the Proficiency Test will proceed to the English Written Test.

Details:

Format: Objective type
Medium: English
Answer Mode: OMR Sheet
Duration: 30 minutes
Total Questions: 30 (English – based on 10th/Matriculation CBSE syllabus)
Marks: 1 mark per correct answer
No negative marking

Note: Qualifying the English paper is mandatory.

Result: Declared on the same day of the written test.

4. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Qualifying the PFT is compulsory for final selection. Candidates undertake this at their own risk.
