Assam Forest Recruitment Age Limit
For the posts of Forester Grade I, Forest Guard & Driver:
- Minimum Age : 18 years
- Maximum Age : 40 Years
- (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or
after 01.01.1983).
For the posts of AFPF Constable & Driver Constable :
- Minimum Age : 18 Years
- Maximum Age : 25 Years
- 3 (i.e. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1998).
Relaxations :Upper age limit will be relaxed for:
- SC/ST : 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years

- Essential Qualification:- Bachelor Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
FOREST GUARD
- Essential Qualification:- Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
AFPF CONSTABLE
- Essential Qualification:- HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board.
DRIVER CONSTABLE
- Essential Qualification:- HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST – 40 Marks :
Male Candidate
- Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 metres race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
- Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Female Candidate
- Race : Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 metres race to be completed within 08 minutes .
- Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
WRITTEN TEST:-

For the post of Forester Grade-I
- The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will
be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative
marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts-
(i) Logical reasoning, Aptitude, English Comprehension (ii) Matters relating to
History and Culture of Assam and India and (iii) General Mathematics of H.S. or
equivalent standard & General Knowledge.
Forest Guard, AFPF Constable, Driver Constable & Driver
- Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered
on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get half
mark. Questions will be of the level of class IX and X. Total marks for the
Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking. - The subjects to be covered will be as follows:-
- Elementary /Arithmetic
- General English
- Logical reasoning/Mental ability
- Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs
The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages:
- Assamese
- Bodo
- Bengali
- English.
.WALKING TEST FOR THE POSTS OF FORESTER GRADE-I & FOREST GUARD
- Candidates appeared in the written test for the posts of Forester Grade-I & Forest Guard will have to attend Walking Test comprising of 26 K.Ms (for males) and 16 K.Ms (for female) to be covered within 4 (four) hours. The walking test will be qualifying nature only and it will carry no marks.
