Atmanirbhar Assam 2024 CMAAA 2.0

The Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) is a dynamic initiative introduced by Assam’s Chief Minister to foster entrepreneurship and self-reliance. This forward-thinking scheme provides financial assistance and collateral-free loans, enabling the establishment of new business ventures and unlocking opportunities for growth.

CMAAA is specially tailored to empower unemployed youth across Assam by supporting their entrepreneurial aspirations. The second phase of the Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme was officially launched by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on 18th October 2024, bringing expanded benefits and opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria of Atmanirbhar Scheme:-

Residency: Applicants must be permanent residents of Assam.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 28 and 45 years old as of 1st April 2024.

Educational Qualification: A minimum qualification of Class 10 is required. Applicants from OBC, SC, and ST communities must have completed at least Class 10 to meet the eligibility criteria.

Skill Qualification: Applicants should possess relevant skills or certifications (such as ITI or Diploma programs) required for engaging in income-generating activities.
 
Bank Account: A valid bank account opened before 1st April 2024 is mandatory.

Loan Defaults: The applicant must have no prior loan defaults with Co-operative or Nationalized
Banks.
 
Government Employment: Applicants should not belong to families with government employees or pensioners.

Income Criteria: Only individuals under the BPL (Below Poverty Line) category are eligible.

Family Participation: Only one member per family can apply for this scheme.

Employment Exchange Registration: The applicant must hold valid registration with the Employment Exchange.
