ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ASSAM COMMANDO BATTALION:
- Nationality- Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent resident of Assam. Selected Candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after publication of the final select list. However, Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such Certificates.
- Candidates must register his / her name with a local Employment Exchange of Assam.
- Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
ASSAM COMMANDO BATTALION Education Qualification:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
- Sub Inspector (AB) :-The Applicant must be a graduate in Arts /Science/Commerce or
equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institution affiliated to a recognized University. - Constable (AB) : HSLC or Equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or
Council.
ASSAM COMMANDO BATTALION Age Limit :
Constable (AB) – The age of the Applicant must be 18-21 years as on 01-01-2026
(i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2005 and not later than 01-01-2008).
- Minimum Age : 18 years
- Maximum Age : 21 years
Sub Inspector (AB) – The age of the Applicant must be 20-24 years as on
01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2002 and not later than 01-01-
Relaxations :Upper age limit will be relaxed for:
- SC, ST (P) and ST (H) :5 (five) years
- OBC/MOBC : 3 (three)

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST
– 80 Marks for Male and 60 marks for Female: The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 80 marks (male)/ 60 marks (female).It will have FOUR events for male and THREE events for female.
Male Candidates
- 4.8 km Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 4.8 km
race to be completed within 20 minutes. - Long Jump: Minimum 365 cm for long jump (3 chances)
- Chin Up:- 4 times is for qualifying .
- 100 meter Race. To be completed within 15 seconds.
Award for Chin Up/ for Male (It will be conducted under CCTV
Surveillance).

- 100 meter Race. The race to be completed within 18 seconds.
