State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) Assam has released a notification for the recruitment of Forest Department 2972 Post. Online Applications are invited for filling up of 211 posts of Forester Grade-I, 504 posts of Forest Guard, 74 posts of Game Watcher, 405 posts of
AFPF Constable in Forest Department, 642 posts of Constable (WO/WT) & 1 post of Constable (UB) in APRO, 1 post of Sub-Officer, 337 posts of Fireman & 41 posts of Emergency Rescuer in Fire & Emergency Services, 733 posts of Constable (Grade-III), 11 posts of Bandman (Constable) & 2 posts
of Bugler under DGCD & CGHG in the Pay Scale of Rs. 14000-70000/- (Pay Band No.2) and 10 posts of Boatman in Assam Police in the Pay Scale of Rs. 12000-52,000/- (Pay Band No. 1) and Grade Pay as shown against each post plus other Allowances as admissible under the rules. . Assam Forest Recruitment Age Limit :

• A For the post of Sub-Officer: The age of the Applicant must be 20-24 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2002 and not later than 01-01-2006).
•  For Constable (Grade-III), Bandman (Constable), Bugler, Forester Grade-I, Game Watcher & Forest Guard : The age of the Applicant must be 18-40 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-1986 and not later than 01-01-2008).
•  For AFPF Constable, Constable (WO/WT), Constable (UB), Fireman & Emergency Rescuer & Boatman : The age of the Applicant must be 18-25 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., Applicants born not before 01-01-2001 and not later than 01-01-2008).

Relaxations :Upper age limit will be relaxed for:

PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST – 40 Marks :

Male Candidate

• • • Race: Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 3200 metres race to be completed within 14 minutes (840 seconds).
    • Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).

Female Candidate

• • • Race : Those who qualify in the PST will be subjected to 1600 metres race to be completed within 08 minutes .
    • Long Jump: Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).

WRITTEN TEST:-

• • • For the post of Forester Grade-I

    • The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. There will
      be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be negative
      marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts-
      (i) Logical reasoning, Aptitude, English Comprehension (ii) Matters relating to
      History and Culture of Assam and India and (iii) General Mathematics of H.S. or
      equivalent standard & General Knowledge.

Forest Guard, AFPF Constable :

• • • Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered
      on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get half
      mark. Questions will be of the level of class IX and X. Total marks for the
      Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking.
    • The subjects to be covered will be as follows:-
    • Elementary /Arithmetic
    • General English
    • Logical reasoning/Mental ability
    • Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
    • General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs

The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages:

    • Bodo
    • Bengali
    • English.

.WALKING TEST FOR THE POSTS OF FORESTER GRADE-I & FOREST GUARD

• • • Candidates appeared in the written test for the posts of Forester Grade-I & Forest Guard will have to attend Walking Test comprising of 26 K.Ms (for males) and 16 K.Ms (for female) to be covered within 4 (four) hours. The walking test will be qualifying nature only and it will carry no marks.
